I took the SAT yesterday and flew through the reading and writing sections myself, but went completely blank on the 2 math sections. I didn’t know what to do so I saw the guy sitting next to new answers and copied a few, changing some so they won’t find out. Will I get caught for having similar answers?
Tbh, only if they see this post and trace it back to you. If they’re the right answers, they won’t expect anything. If they’re wrong, they’ll think that you both learned the same method.
So do you think it will get flagged for having similar answers? I haven’t been able to think about anything else since the test and I’ve been stressing like crazy.
I’ve seen it happen before, but if you changed some I doubt anything will come of it.
What will happen if it does get flagged? I don’t think I’m going to goto school in the states anyways but still don’t want this on my record if it gets caught.
It doesn’t go on your record. “Flagging” just means you might have cheated. They weren’t there and have no real way to prove it. The worst that happens is the score gets cancelled and you have to retake.
Does anyone know what the amount of similar answers necessary for it to be flagged?
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
The user’s first post is asking about cheating and will s/he get caught?
Aside from the fact that nobody can answer the question with certainty, I’m closing since this is not the purpose of this site.
