Current Gpa:3.43 could be a 3.53 at the end of the semester at best or it could stay a 3.43 at he end of the semest at worst. I will be applying as a history major. I have decent EC's. I work at a job. I have decent essays mentioning my recovery from a stroke when i was younger. My grades have kind of been on an upward trend since my first semester. Here are my safteties, matches and reaches to the school i'm applying to let me know what you think of them. thanks.

High Reach: UC Berkeley
Reach: UCLA
Match: UCSD,UCI,UC DAVIS
Safety:UCSB

I applied for winter session to UCSB and UCSC and i got into both for winter session but declined both to see if i could get into Ucla.

bumppppppppppppppp

not an expert on the subject but here's what I would think:

Reach: UCB, UCLA
Slight Reach: UCSD
Match: UCSB
Safety: UCI, UCD

Hi thanks for your response. I'm just curious why you think UCI and UCD would be safeties for me.

can you list more of your ECs?

Well, I was using the order of difficulty for admissions. Typically I think the order goes something like this:

UCB
UCLA
UCSD
UCSB
UCI
UCD
UCR

kevintech in response to your question. I have recently completed over a 100 hours of volunter work at a local hospital. I have been a member of a conservatory group for the past 4 years. I work at the same hospital when not doing school work. So my job takes up most of my time. When I said decent I guess I was wrong cause these are the only EC's I can think of.

high reach : berkeley only.
every other campus you have a great shot.
