check this out!!

Ok, I was reviewing last year's posts and found a thread re: "frozen gray boxes" the thread points out that that around decision time the status check area where you can review/change your info was now frozen as far as changing majors for a number of people (<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=156131%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=156131</a>)</p>

I just checked and my majors are frozen...so what about everyone else? Check and let us know. Could it mean something?

Careful, every year there are tons of speculative threads like this and some of them don't end well

I know, you're probably right. At least the fact that the majors are frozen may have some significance...like they're reviewed the application. Thanks for the reality check!

This actually happened this year as well with the EA decision. You should be getting notification very soon if the boxes are greyed out. Well after all, it is the 13th!

So, will we be able to see the decisions online? or are they mailed/emailed?
Thanks!!!!!!

Here's what happened for EA. The boxes became greyed out, then the list of received documents disappeared with the message "your application is complete"......... This happened on Dec. 18th and decisions were due out by Dec. 31st. People didn't start seeing their decisions until around 6PM that night. But some resourceful individuals attempted to create a MyNEU account using their ID #. Some were successful in doing that which mean they had been accepted. Then they saw their on-line decision later that night. The website was so busy it took us about 20 minutes to open the letter.

We got a letter in the mail the following week.

yeah it took like an hour for me to be able to see my decision.. the website will be SO busy so be prepared

i haven't been able to change my major since i was deferred admission in december.

i also found the thread from last year and it kinda makes me more nervous because my boxes are also grayed out. but almost 30 people from my school in MA applied and 2 have already gotten in EA so I'm not sure if this looks good for me...

I thought I would bump this thread to see if anyone else is noticing frozen grey boxes like last year. My daughters are grey and frozen.

As soon as all you materials are in, and your file is ready for review, they prevent you from changing your major, so as to give the admissions committee a more concrete image.

On a related note, in the documents section, it says they have receieved an incomplete transcript. But my school says they have sent the entire transcript till date. I mailed admissions, but didnt get a reply. What should I do? I think its too late to send in another copy.... :( Will this affect my chances badly?

Also, does everyone have to submit the FAFSA or only the admitted students? I am an international, and I dont think I can submit FAFSA, but I intend to apply for fin aid

My boxes are grayed out as well...but there isn't anything about my financial aid. I sent it in about 2 weeks before the deadline.

I was admitted EA, and my boxes were greyed out for weeks. I received an email at 8 pm PST (11 pm EST) hours after others were admitted. So even if your boxes are greyed out, don't count on hearing back that soon

my boxes have been grey since january...
the only things i could change were personal information...

ahhh i cant decide between northeastern (pending) boston (pending) UBC (accepted) and uni of toronto (accepted)

im an international student btw.

My boxes have been grayed out since Jan too :)

Just checked, and mine are greyed out too.

Has anyone tried to create a MyNEU account with their ID #?

Just tried. No luck.
