I just checked my application status check and it wouldn't let me login. It had the following message:
The application status check is not available at this time. You will be notified regarding your decision at the e-mail address provided in your application.

Does this mean my decision will be out soon? Does anyone know how soon?

All anyone can say is what happened last year. Top applicants got their decisions around this time. The rest came out in mid-March. Check your email after 3 PM and let us know.

No guarantee that this year will mirror last year of course.

Accepted with Dean’s Scholarship! Really bummed that you can only get money for Dean’s or National Merit Otherwise it would definitely be one of my top choices.

Congratulations! Hopefully you will have lots of choices!
BTW, when was your application complete (i.e. NE had all your tests, midyear report etc)?

Accepted with Dean’s Scholarship and into Honors Program. Still didn’t send a midyear report because I just finished my finals for first semester a couple weeks ago. Basic stats for reference: 2290 SAT/3.9 UW

I got accepted today, with a Dean’s Scholarship, but I don’t see anything about Honors anywhere… is there anyone else who didn’t get into honors? In earlier years the “early” admits all seemed to get Honors… :(

By the way, what amounts did you guys get for Dean’s scholarship? On the website it says that 25% of people receive it, but that the amount can range from 5-25k per year. Does that mean that people who are closer to the “25%” side of that scale get 5k and it goes higher as the applicant improves? I got 22k, so I’m curious if the Honors people got the full 25k.

@OACLJV : nope, no known correlation between Dean’s money and Honors. I was accepted into Honors with $20k Dean’s, a girl in my school got $22k Dean’s and honors, another got $15k with Honors, and one got $20k with no Honors. I think it depends on the school to which you applied, but it largely seemed like a crapshoot.

@novafan1225 - That’s really frustrating… I’m a National Merit finalist so my Dean’s scholarship will be discarded anyway for the 30,000 NMF one if I go. However, Honors is something that I really wanted…

You can transfer in either 2nd semester or in your sophomore year I think, but you’ll miss out on Honors housing in IV freshman year which is one of the biggest draws for me haha. Good luck!

My son was accepted today into Honors with $22K Dean’s scholarship. We happened to visit this past weekend, and the tour guides said a new dorm is under construction and the honors kids may not be in IV in the fall. The new dorm will allow them to guarantee housing, which is nice!

I just went to the Scholarship site, and it looks like people who get the National Merit Scholarship are automatically admitted into the Honors program, so I guess I would get to be in it if I do go.

My daughter was admitted to the PharmD program and the honors program. She was awarded $25K. She has a 3.9 UW GPA, 33 ACT, 10 APs, AP Scholar With Distinction.

I got accepted into the Honors Program today and instead of the Dean’s scholarship, I was offered the “Connections Scholarship” from the Engineering Department, which is 22K a year. Does anyone know whether or not this can be stacked on top of my NMF scholarship of $30K to cover full tuition? This is what it says in one of my terms and conditions:

“If you receive additional scholarship or grant assistance from University funds that exceed the cost of tuition when combined with your Connections Scholarship, the Connections Scholarship will be reduced so all grants and scholarships equal the cost of tuition.”

Does this say this as well for the Dean’s scholarship? It really would be a deal breaker for me if it couldn’t be stacked to cover tuition.
