Also, do i have any chance at financial aid? My parent's combined make 80K but I have to pay alone.

If you need any other information feel free to ask. Thanks again!

in-state or OOS?

out of state

I’d say you have a pretty good chance, I don’t see a glaring reason they wouldn’t let you in. Of course for out of state it’s almost (obviously not as bad) as hit or miss an an ivy league school. Good luck on your SAT IIs and on your apps!

Need-based aid can be tricky, particularly in regards to grants, and UVA doesn’t have much to offer in terms of merit-based aid. Unless you are determined to be “independent” by IRS standards (which for most is very difficult), you would need to report your parents’ income on the FAFSA. What you get all d.epends on whether your EFC (expected family contribution) is lower or higher than the annual cost of attendance (OOS is approx 36k/year). If your EFC is 20k, then the other 16k you would need in order to pay the entire tuition bill would be offered to you in financial aid. You would likely get a work study deal, the max. amount in gov’t loans that could be offered so that you do not max out before your 4th year, and then grants.

However, this can change…if your EFC is lower then you are more likely to get more grants, higher and you may expect less grant money.

“White male <— colleges seem to hate these lol)”

Yeah you know, especially when top schools are compromised of about 40%+ exclusively of white males, those colleges are really out to get you.

Chill wahoomb, just a joke.

Sorry, I just have a low tolerance for ignorance…and so do most UVA students.

GPA, rank, ACT all look good, definitely in if you were instate, out of state I still say you have a pretty good shot.

Hey… at least you’re not Asian :P
