So I know there's 2 chem 125/126 lab tests, what the hell are these about and how can i prepare for them? like was I actually supposed to take notes during the quick slides/presentation during discussion?

no, practice ALL of the practice exams(6?8? overall) before u take the exam since its literally the same format. Nancy Kerner is still teaching it right?
i think i only been to lecture once and still got a 99% on the first exam

lol *** a 99??

are the exams posted on ctools? because theres only 2 practice exams in the book and they dont even have an answer sheet

yes kerner… alright so the lectures are completely useless?

no the lecture’s ok i just can’t stand her lecture and slides are posted on ctools so u can just read it off from those. Some of the demonstrations were cool though, so don’t skip
last yr they posted 8± exams in resources folder, check if its there

That’s how I feel, some demos are cool, but overall its not always enough to get me up and on a bus to Central campus

there’s only like so many trends to memorize and exams are all the same. You can easily get all the points and the bonus question.

Honestly probably better off studying more for the 130 tests. Lectures definitely don’t warrant me getting up early and taking bus to Central for either.

i only go to the lectures to see Ed do the experiments and throw out the peace sign. is it just me or is it pretty hard to get good grades on the labs no matter how much time you put into them?

^
Put in more time then. treat it like a four or five credit course.

My team has been getting B’s to A- on the labs so far…I’m hoping thats good enough to get an A with (assuming we do well on the exams)?

^ A is really hard, my 2nd exam was a 75% ish, so my exam avg overall was about 85 ish, and my lab reports were pretty good, mostly A- toward then end, still got a B(I expected to get an A+ after my first exam LOL), my partner got a B+ cuz her exam scores are slightly higher. They don’t hand out A’s often~
