Would it be a bad idea to take this class with 13 other credits? (So the total would be 15.) Everyone says it's a very time consuming class, but I don't want to get behind on credits.

Also, is it better or worse to take this class the semester after taking Chem 130?

It depends on the classes you’re taking, not just the number of credits. Chem 125 doesn’t take too much time out of your schedule. I remember the weekly (sometimes bi-weekly, depending on which lab you’re on) lab reports taking around 10 hours to complete, on average? The labs themselves aren’t too long, and the exams are fairly easy (same format as the study guides). You’ll see tons of people blowing off the lectures, but I found them helpful to watch (the professor usually uploads them online, too).

It shouldn’t really be too much of a drag if you take them separately. They’re entirely separate courses, but I do remember some of the material in 125 being clearer after we discussed it in 130, which was usually a few weeks later.
