chem 1a transmitter & webct

is it ok to buy a used transmitter from someone to save money or is just not worth it (do transmitters get wrecked quickly?)

and webct is a one time deal or can you buy it off someone. im taking a class with my friend... can i share with her?

thanx!=D

The lady at the bookstore said we had to get them new, but I think she was just trying to rip me off

the transmitter+calculator+webaccess=$66...what a ripoff

I'm just glad I got my chem book for $30

You should have no problems with a used PRS transmitter. I think just about every student agrees they're a waste of money, so I wish we could just eliminate their use. Oh well.

I got a used one and it worked perfectly for the entire semester.

If you're anxious about the transmitter breaking, just use it exclusively for the midterm bonuses. (You get a 0.1% bonus to your grade after each midterm for voting with your transmitter during lecture.) There used to be attendance bonuses for voting in every lecture, but they weren't given anymore as of fall 2005.

yes. plenty for sale at http://www.comegetused.com

i bought the whole chem thing for 153 dollars. My heart felt like it was being ripped out as I handed over the lovely bills.

Are all transmitters the same? I mean, "Physics for Future Presidents" requires one now, can I buy one off of someone who used it for chem?

Thanks!
