So I'm taking Math 31A and Chem 20A because I thought that I was going to do engineering. I don't think this is the path I want to take anymore. Is there any way I can switch my Chem classes to the 14 series path? Or am I stuck with the harder Chem 20/30 series?

You can definitely take the 14 series since you were from the Chem 20 series since the 20 series are harder, the 14 series-majors will accept the 20 series. However once you step into the 14 series world…you can’t really go back unless you start from where you left off in the 20 series.

I dunno about that. I had a friend who was in the 20 and wanted to go to the 14 and was told they couldn’t. Supposedly it’s the other way around. o.0?

yeah im pretty sure you cant go down from 20 to 14

but yeah there are majors that accept 20 and 30 series chem/ math that arent engineering

Well I think you can go down to the 14 series if you want, but you will have to start off at 14A even if you pass 20A (and you are still continuing the class this quarter).

You are more or less stuck with it if you already took 20a and passed it. If you have credit for it i think you won’t be able to drop to 14 series without a very good excuse. Saying it’s easier will not cut it.
