chem 2090?

I just got my grade on student center. I got a C. OMG! Can anyone tell me what the passing grade is for this class? This is the only chem course that I need to take in my major. Can this fulfill the requirement of chem?

Thank you!

I’m in the same exact position. I got a C also which completely sucks. A C fulfills the requirement, but barely. What’s your major?

I am undecided as of now, but probably CS or ECE. No, not chemE :P

Besides like ChemE and MatSci, there’s no real requirement for a particular grade in this class, just for overall GPA. If you google (your particular major) Cornell affiliation requirements or something, you should be able to find the requirements for affiliation without too much trouble.

I agree, this class was killer unless you had a good high school preparation. I was fortunate in this regard, so I did quite well. Also, my AEW was truly amazing at teaching the whole week’s lesson in like 40 minutes.

I hope you all gave Zax bad course evaluations.

I thought class is curved in comparison to others but anyway i thought passing is C- or higher. Not sure ont his though

so that kind of means I don’t have to worry about it? :p

I dont think you have to worry about getting kicked out of Cornell…

That actually is not what I meant. I was just afraid that once when I get to the time to affiliate for my major, what if they say hey dude your chem should be like that, not this.

This should clarify actual grade requirements for all majors in the Engineering school:

[Cornell Engineering : Affiliation Requirements](http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/student-services/academic-advising/academic-information/declaring-major/affiliation-requirements.cfm)

^^ thank you. that was really clarifying. and I am happy.
