<p>I'm trying to make a class planner (enrolling for fall on May 19th) and under the Chemistry category Chem 6BL is either missing or it's been renamed as Chem 7L.</p>
<p>Can anyone verify this? Is it a different course?</p>

<p>I heard they made a typo and that Chem 7L is really Chem 6BL.</p>

I’m not sure if it’s a typo because Chem 7L is also on the Schedule of Classes (on top of being on the Class Planner).</p>

<p>I don’t think they renamed it because if you click on it, it’s not on the catalog of classes.</p>
<p>(The schedule of classes and the class planner are connected, btw. So if they mistyped it, it would be mistyped in both places.)</p>
<p>It’s not a typo. They renamed it because too many people thought that it needed to be taken with 6B. (It doesn’t. You just need to know the material from 6A and 6B).</p>

<p>That is the reason for the change and the fact that they made it 4 units instead of 3 now. They may have changed the labs around for this time so the bunch thats taking it fall may be guinea pigs.</p>
<p>I’m fairly certain it’s the same class (with the exception of it being 4 units now), since Professor Magde told us so at the chem advising session last week. Also, a lot of the information on the chem dept. website is about to become outdated.</p>
