Chem211 waitlist?

Hey guys. Just had my orientation as a intended ChE major and I got my math class, engr course, and chem210, but I'm on the waitlist (first on the waitlist) for a chem211 lab. Does anyone know how difficult it is to get off the waitlist for this class or get an override? I was told chances are slim because the lab class size for chem211 is so small?... I thought about emailing the professor but the instructor listed on WA is "staff?"

211 is required for my major and the advisory prereq states that it is to be taken concurrently with 210. Does that mean if I don't get in, I'm basically screwed? I can't put off 210 since I already have my gen chem and physics so I have nothing else to take. Any help, advice, or insight? Thanks!

you could always take courses that will satisfy other degree requirements (not necessarily science). take a look at the intellectual breadth requirements.

Turns out a spot opened up for it this morning and it worked out. However, I overlooked the fact that Math116 exams run from 6-8PM on Wednesdays and I have an Engr101 lab at that time. There is however, one lab section that’s currently open that works out for me. However, I can’t seem to add it - it says “department consent required to enroll in this class.” Anyone know what to do?!
