Looking at ChemE schools in the Northeast/mid-atlantic. It seems like large universities are best, but are there any mid-sized privates worth looking at? Opinions?
BTW
HS Junior, female, great math stats, great chem, ee's etc.

i’m stuck in the midwest, but i recall udel having a very strong chemE department.

U Delaware is worth looking at, though it isn’t as strong in other areas of engineering besides ChemE.

Johns Hopkins and UMBC fit your criteria. If you are interested in smaller schools, Bucknell and Lafayette deserve a look too.

While definitely not small, Pitt isn’t as large as some other state schools and is something you might be interested in.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Looked at Cornell, MIT (of course), RPI, WPI and also UNH as safety. Making summer visit plans…so, UDel, maybe Cooper Union, NYU Poly?, Lafayette?

[Accredited Programs Search](http://www.abet.org/AccredProgramSearch/AccreditationSearch.aspx)

You can search by program, state, or whatever.

Thanks susgeek! That looks like it will help!

If your daughter has great stats, I would probably drop a few schools off that list, particularly NYU Poly and Lafayette. You might want to add in Columbia and CMU.

Yes, she has great stats overall and in math/chem in particular. She’s revising her list and already nixed lafayette, but wants to visit CMU. Thanks for the tips. All her top schools-of-interest seem to be the ultracompetitive ones.
Just heard today that she got in to MIT’s Women’s Technology Program for this summer!!

Ehh I heard that Columbia engineering was a waste of money. I could be wrong though.
