I got into ND and plan to study engineering. I am catholic, hispanic, and am interested in managerial engineering with future plans of getting an MBA, not that much into Research. I already visited ND and loved it, my only concern is its engineering program. How will employers look at a ND Engineering grad vs one from a top tier engineering school? I am considering applying to GaTech and UMich. I already applied to UVA, Harvard, and Vanderbilt. If anyone can speak for these schools’ engineering reputations I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
ND’s program is ABET accredited, so you should be able to get an engineering job as long as you are able to achieve at least a 3.0 GPA.
If you wish to apply to umich, you need to get that done ASAP. Umich goes by rolling admission after the early action period, thus the longer you wait, more seats get filled up and it will keep becoming more competitive.
Well, ND is on par with or better than all of the schools that you have listed as having applied already, so I don’t really understand where the concern here lies. ND’s engineering program is perfectly fine and is, I believe, in the process of expanding and strengthening.
