Chemistry AP Credit issue

Hi guys,

I'm an incoming Chem-E. I took AP chem my junior year and got a 5. As I understand it, that would mean that I should go directly to Chem 30A this fall. Is that a good idea? With an entire year in between, I'm sure that I've forgotten quite a bit.

What do people normally do in this situation? Is it possible to retake the series starting with 20A, or retake 20B as a refresher? If I did that, would I forfeit all credit, or would I be able to assign those units to a GE or something?

Thanks in advance.

AP Chem gets you no credit for a specific class. you can petition for 20A credit, but people usually don't.

yeah most people just stay back and take 20A but passing AP chem made chem 20A very easy
