Today's test sucked for me.
What's the curve down to about -30 raw?

Does anyone know what the answers for the lab equipment are? I got the same answer for all the questions on that one (the burette)

Yeah, I got 2 of them a burette and the last one I was thnking burette but wasn't confident that all three would be the same.

does anyone remember the question about the catalyst being introduced? I said C but wasnt sure. C- the final volumes will be the same as the original reaction without the catalyst.

I got C also :) I remembered that a burette is used for titrations so I put that, but it still is wierd to get 3 of the same answers in a row..

How about the one about 100 grams sucrose and 250 grams water and boiling points? I got temp was .6 C but idk if that's right.

i got .6 C too on that one
that was a difficult exam

how many CE's did u get?

I got 3 CEs. Not sure about the one with the "heating a hydrate question" and that you have to heat it again and again for accurate results, but I put a CE for that one. I also put a F, T for the one with the picture of the barometer and the equal water levels. And yeah it was hard. I got a -6 for the practice test and now I'm hoping for a -10.

no i don't think they were all buret.. one was a graduated cylinder (because of precise measurements).. one was buret for titrations and the other was weird for dilutions.. dunno

Idk, for the precise measurements one your adding something to a solution, and well, isn't a buret an accurate way to do that?

I got graduated cylinder for precise measurements, and the buret for the titration question. Left the one about dilutions blank.

I got 4 TTCEs IIRC.

that is true.. who knows.. i'm probably wrong.. i can never finish in the time allotted anyway.. left like 6 blank

I know 3 I definately got wrong:

Two double bonds - I put I2 but its actually CO2
3rd to last question - Ba2+ + SO22- = BaSO2 I put Ba(SO2)2 damn
2nd to last - 0.0010 mol, idk what the answer is for this

does anyone know the approximate curve?? say i left 6-7 blank and 4-5 wrong...

does anyone remember the question to do with a graph where products went from 0 --> 120 and reactants went from 100--> 40?

the question was: "At what time was half of the reactants turned into products" (paraphrased)

i wasn't sure; but i put 20s?

You can check the SAT Subject book if you have it, but to give you rough idea its -3 = 800, -6 = 770 -11 = 750 and -17 (wow) = 700

I put 20s, can't be anything else really...

theskylitup: It was when half of the reactants had reacted, so that would be when the reactants were at the 50 mark, which, as far as I remember, was 20 seconds.

i suspect that the curve might be a little harsher this time? i felt that it was an easier paper than the collegeboard practice; it was quite narrow in the topics tested and left out hard calculations and pure memorisation type concepts.

ETA: thanks rewind123!

Easier test? I thought collegeboard practice was easier..

^ i'm not sure (i guess this is subjective)..

i thought this was easier because it was mainly structure of matter, some states, and minimal gas laws and minimal redox...

also lots of balancing and reaction (which were my stronger topics)..

perhaps that's why i found it easier?

How does everyone else gauge the difficulty as? Easier or harder than the Collegeboard practice?
