Its been 48 hours... even for those on the west coast
DISCUSS!!!

CB didn't put it up yet though... arrgh so slow

when can we talk about it

Now. It's been 48 hours.

You use the buffer equation for the last part of number one, right?

Are we allowed to say the answer now? It's still not on CB yet...
I didn't use the buffer equation... just the CB way, which I suppose simplifies to the buffer equation.

i didn't use the buffer equation... u mean the henderson-hasselback or smth?
what did u get for the final pH?

i guess itll be easier to talk about it when CB posts it up so we can see the actual question lol

I did it the buffer way, then I went back at the very end and did it the other way and got the same answer so it def works

For #2 the gibbs free energy one
What did u guys get for part b where it said you have to find the temperature when K(eq) = 1

Wouldn't that become 0 because when you put it into the equation its like RTlnK????

lol yea I missed that question too.
You just calculate H = TS

omg!!! none of that K formula? -___-

The chem is up on collegeboard.

You had to use the G = H - TS (hehe sorry I can't make the triangles but I"m sure you know what I'm talking about) and set G equal to 0.

The equations were crazy easy but I realized I messed the last one up because I forgot it said you had to start with a zinc ion and I started with solid zinc. Stuuuuupid!

For number one I think I got my pH to be like 12 something but I definitely messed up parts C, D, and E of that question, so I'm probably pretty off.

ahah damn I got that wrong too I put T cannot be determined because I thought you had to use the value of G from the previous part... **** I screwed this **** up ****

Ok...Are these statements correct

1

pH = about 3.3? maybe a but more

3

The electrons flow counterclockwise.
delta G > 0

5

Fe2+

moles = 5 x MV

6

So2 resonates
ratio increases with a temp increase
pressures arent changed by a catalyst

and I didnt know how to do the next part, c, either

they're up!!! aah! lol

for the lab question i got

5MV
5(55.85)MV
(5(55.85)MV)/g

is SO2 a resonance? i would think its sulfur in the middle, double bond oxygen on each side, and a lone pair on the sulfur, and each oxygen with 2 lone pairs

Ohhh nice I got some questions right!!!! Yayyy I'm proud of myself ha ha ha.

Ahhh **** I messed up the SO2 diagram and I also messed the lab question up. Oh well.
