Chemistry major UC berkeley or UCLA? Need help!!

Got accepted to both berkeley and ucla as transfer student majoring in chem. don't know which to choose. I know chem in berkeley is the NO. 1 in nation so it is going to be super hard. UCLA is around 15. Although I have 4.0 in cc, I am afraid i cannot survive (good GPA) in berkeley. Since i want to go to pharmacy school, i hear they care more about GPA and experience than major and school. There is difference between 3.5 in berkeley and cal state, but there is not that much difference between 3.5 in UCLA and UC berkeley. To spend a lot of time on study to maintain just gpa in berkeley, or to spend this time to do something like volunteer or research in UCLA??

were you accepted in to the College of Chem at Cal, or L&S?

If CoC, do not pass it up – small, focused college surrounded by a big Uni.

UCLA should not be any “easier”.

accepted in to the College of Chem at Cal. I know both will be really hard. I live in LA right now, plus I really like the UCLA campus, but it is really hard for me to turn down cal…

Take Cal. LA won’t be THAT much easier, and most grad school programs understand the grade inflation and rigor of Cal’s CoC chem and Engineering programs.

Go to Berkeley, take the rarer opportunity. Trust yourself. Enjoy.
