I did a search, but nothing useful came up...

How is the chemistry program at Emory? I am considering majoring in Chemistry (and doing premed classes also). I read a lot about the premed courses in old threads and everyone seems to be saying that they are really great.

Anyone here a chem major or know one? How is the quality of classes, workload, etc? Thanks.

I am a high school senior interested in Emory, and after talking with my tour guide, doing research, etc. I found out that Emory's Chemistry department and the Natural Sciences in general are very strong. There are also plenty of research opportunities due to the close proximity of the CDC and Yerkes Primate Center.

yeah i'm a freshman chemistry major- i got a 5 on the AP exam so i'm taking organic chemistry this year and its really fun....the department here is amazing, which is why we have an entire monster high tech buildilng dedicated to the sole subject of chemistry...soria (freshman orgo teacher) is a really awesome professor also...i havent found it that tough, but we have an incredible chem department. undergrad research opportunity is most definately available ( i might be doing research after just 1 semester of being here since i'm in orgo) which is really cool...anything else you want to know specifically you can PM me
