I didn't do well on Chemistry and I need to prepare for it this summer. I will retake it this fall. What review books do you recommend? Definitely not PR (it didn't help me at all-it didn't go in depth!). I have Barron's, but is it ENOUGH?

If you are preparing for the SAT II in Chem, get Baron's or Kaplan. If you can't decide, check the library and see which one you like.

PR is pretty good.

Barron's is the best! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! !! !!! !! !

bump, I would like input as well

kaplans is nice to look over. Concentrate on barron's though. I used both but barron's more. I find out my score the 20th.
Interesting note about chem test, and standardized tests in general:
the more obscure the information that a question is testing, the easier it is. The converse of that is also true. That is why on say the IIC counting problems are often harder than the trig or conic sections. On chem there were two questions about Keq that were really easy, one involved turning reaction equation into K equation.

just take ap chem and get an ez 800.

i took that class and just prepped for the ap. took the SATII with no extra prep. ez 800

I'm taking AP Chem this coming year (senior year) but I will need to take the subject test in Dec. at the latest, so I will still need a prep book. Is PR really that bad?

no its not! use it !
