Hi. I am going to take SAT II Chemistry next Saturday. Exactly how difficult is the test and what is the best prepatory book, currently I am using Kaplan. Thanks!!

i personally prefer princeton review, as does my chem teacher. its pretty accurate, or so i'm told. i'm taking it next saturday too...best of luck

I'm taking it next sat. too and scared out of my mind. I am using both Kaplan and PR but Kaplan is too detailed/boring to read. I am aiming for 700+ but so far getting slightly less. Good luck

Barrons is the best, but I don't think you'd have enough time to go completely through it; it's quite long and detailed. But if you can score well on Barron's, you'll probably have an excellent score on the real thing since they "over prepare" you.

It's a lot like the AP Chem test, but the T/F/CE are really annoying. Just make sure you can explain/prove/disprove the answers. I used Princeton Review and Barron's and I got an 800 in May.

sarorah, yeah, barrons can be good if you use it like a month or two in advance, but when it comes to the crunch time, i've found that they go well beyond the curriculum covered in the exam. and by going beyond, they're putting more emphasis on extraneous material than there should be
