<p>I dropped by the admissions office again today, and I again, was told that the upcoming week or two will be crucial to your candidacy (for those who are on the waitlist). Best of luck to you guys, and I think you have heard this over and over again, but: college is what you make out of it, not where you attend.</p>
<p>I will be meeting with an admissions representative to talk about my cultural/ethnic RSO. I will ask him on behalf of you guys in-person, too. But one thing is for sure right now: they have not released decisions for waitlistees. Hope this alleviates some anxiety surrounding the waitlist.</p>

<p>How is the next week or two crucial? is that just when theyre gna release official decisions? are we expected to do anything else - ive been emailing my regional counselor but hes ignored me for like 2 weeks lol. I emailed another adcom too, and all she keeps saying is that they dnt knw if theyre gna admit from the WL</p>

And I second Conquistador’s question- why don’t you just post it here (and omit any personal info like your name or whatever?) I’m sure plenty of other waitlistees are going to want to see this. It would be a lot easier for all of us if you just posted it.</p>

<p>so… i just called uchicago because my housing payment for my other college is due soon, so i wanted to see how much longer i would have to wait and whatnot.
and the person i talked to told me that the waitlist is still open but the adcoms dont know how much they’re going to pull from the waitlist.</p>
<p>well, June 20 is just around the corner… I guess we’ll all just have to cross our fingers, huh?</p>

I have been watching this thread since it started.</p>
<p>This is what is happening. I have heard that UC is sending out e-mails to let everyone on the waitlist who has not made the last cut to let them know that the class of 2014 is full (hear say). </p>
<p>For those who UC is interested in and made the final waitlist cut, UC is sending out letters to the ones who did. They sent out letters on June 2, 2010, letting them know that the class of 2014 is full “BUT” if you are still interested you can accept to be put on the extended summer waitlist, which is to be used if some students do not confirm admittance (No Shows). Final rejection notices will be sent on June 30, 2010.</p>
<p>So starting this week UC will be looking at the summer Waitlist for those who got a letter and wanted to remain on the summer waitlist for no shows.</p>

<p>actually, you know what, whatever. i’m not believing anyone in this thread anymore. and im just going to assume i’m rejected because even if sensation is lying- the yield was incredibly high this year and my stats weren’t that high to begin with. i’ll keep checking up on this thread though.</p>
