<p>If your instate I’d say Chico State. I guess it all depends on what you’re looking for too. They are very different, or so I’ve heard.</p>

<p>Chico is very much a college town a thousand times more than SF. It’s also much cheaper to live there both on and off campus.</p>
<p>Does either one offer your major (or potential major) of choice? That should also be a huge deciding factor over many other things. Chico is great if you’re wanting to go into the computer science field. Many companies (particularly before the dotcom bubble burst) used to purposefully hire from Chico because of the quality students it produced.</p>
<p>Personally, I prefer Chico. It’s a gorgeous town and the education is good.</p>
<p>If you get a nice scholarship, USF hands down…</p>
