Chinese student's list--where are my chances?

History of art and architecture; Economics; Education; urban planning (undecided actually...switched em up depending on school)</p>

<p>Stats:
GPA: 92/100 (equivalent to 3.8/4.0)
(p.s. my school is one of the top of the top school in my area, no rank is offered. class size is 700)</p>

<p>SAT: 2090 (CR600 Math800) (retake in Dec)
TOEFL iBT: 110
SAT2: Math/Physics/Chemistry still waiting for Oct scores.....but I assume will be no less than 750</p>

<p>Nationality: China</p>

<p>AP Calculus AB/Calculus BC/Physics B: all 5</p>

<p>we don't have AP courses, but I do take honor math</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities:
1. MUN Club: member (10th) President (11th/12th) Trainer in local high school MUN association (12th)
2. Volunteer: Special school for mental-disabled and autistic students (10th/11th); (Also a teaching assistant) Training center for autistic children, an NGO(11th/12th); Community Service (10th/11th)
3. Piano: 12years, Solo player in a Music Conservatory concert (12th)
4. Research: The Effect of Toothpaste (9th), The Evolution of Calculus (10th), Shadow Education (11th)
5. Writing: writer for a student-run website concerned with teenage education in China (just posted one article :-))(12th)
6. First prize in English Talent Competition and English Speaking Competition (10th)
7. Host at school: (11th)
8. Cheerleader and Debater: (10th/11th)
*I also have several prizes of regional Math/Physics competition, and I've won national gold medal in Piano solo in primary school (it doesn't make sense...I know TUT),so I will send music supplement to some schools.</p>

I'm waiting for Dec SAT so I decided not to apply ED
I want FA/Scholarship for International student except for those public schools</p>

<p>Vassar: High match (Chinese students don’t go for the LACs that often although some do)
Colgate: Reach
Rice: Reach (it’s a “reach-for-anyone”)
Barnard: High match
Lehigh: Match
Smith: Match
Oberlin: High match
MHC: Safety
Lafayette: Match (pay attention to interviews)
UIUC: Low match
Rochester: Safety
UWA: Safety (if you can pay full freight)
UMN: Safety</p>

<p>Thanks. but I don’t get that why Colgate should be a “reach”? Is it very selective? Or does it expect super high scores (like 2250+)?</p>

<p>Colgate is very selective (only about 30-35% get in) but at 2150+ it will no longer be a reach.</p>
