Happy belated? Chinese New Year from an Indian in US.

i know this is wierd but our english teacher told us to wish as many chinese people we knew :)

I want to have new chinese songs, when I download western music, thats very easy I can use for exampe kazaa or bittorent. But for chinese songs I cant find it, for example the new album of Kelly chen and the concert cd of hacken lee and joey leung

can someone help me make an account at kugoo, because at the loginscreen the register button isn't displayed, so I cant press it

hey nomad,

thanks a lot!

thanks nomad, u can enjoy chinese new year as much as we do if you go to china, or san francisco, l.a., nyc chinatown during chinese new year, unfortunately i can't go this year, i'm dealing with some stuff in school, and college apps too......

on the other hand,

i'm wondering if any of you are interested in some great specialty schools, like parsons(part of new school university, nyc), fashion institute of tech/suny, risd, pratt, cia (culinary institute of america, u will never worry about typically rough cafeteria food)... they r all the very best in their fields, most of them have rolling decisons stuff, and select students with less academic concerns, they r located in north eastern u.s. .....
u don't have to pursue common college general like everyone else does, these specialty school provides extraordinary education and opportunities too, if you find your passion in designing leading fashion clothing, cooking world class food, creating state of the mind advertising...

Too bad I'm not even sure what my interests are yet... On my apps, I put down "biology" for major, but that's because too many of my friends want to be doctors. I know, that really shouldn't be the way I go about making decisions. I'm still hoping that it won't be too hard to change majors later in college.
Sometimes I really wish that I am strongly passionate about one particular subject. But high school only offers so many courses and so much exposure, and for some reason, I like/hate all my classes equally.
Just curious , how did you guys find out what you want to do in the future?

read books.. .

all of us r inexperienced about future. may be we can ask our parents and other older adults to find out how they started a career they liked and whether college education contributed much to their career success, etc.

I went to SF in november, dam missed it by 3 months!!

yy0712, i feel the same. the mojors in college are different from subjects in high school, i'd like to have a taste of several courses at the beginning

Which schools must I write my school reprts to? Must I write it to my first choices? Or must I sent them in, when I have made the New Sat for the second time, and hopefully get a better score than the first one?

I think you should send both scores. It might happen that you have a higher math score and a lower verbal score for the first SAT you took, but for the second one that you are about to take, you receive a lower math score but a much higher verbal score. You know, when college admission committee view your academic credentials, they will consider your highest score in verbal and math section and add them together and use that to calculate your academic index. So I think it might be best of your interest to send results of both to colleges.I hope this helps.

Yeah, I agree. Many colleges take the highest combined score.
Hey trinya, since you are taking the new SAT, I assume that you are a junior if not younger. Your final score report will include all the SATs you've ever taken in past five (I think, maybe four) years (unless they've changed the policy for the new SATs, which I doubt). So if you are taking SAT IIs or score higher the second time, you'll have to send all your scores to them again. It certainly won't hurt to send your scores early, but if you'll have to pay extra, it may not be necessary yet.

So that means, they will look at my result in January and not before?
Yes, I am junior, does that means now that I dont have to send my scores to all the schools now? and I can wait till I have made the New SAT the 2nd time in October?
Correct me if I am wrong please.

"result in January and not before"--If you send your scores now, they'll see everything, including all the previous tests you've taken.
Unless you have no more SATs to take and are afraid that you'll do worse on your new SAT, wait to send your scores later.

"My first public toilet experience...and my last. The whole squatting thing while trying to hit the hole and pee unavoidably splashing up onto my legs is not to be repeated. I'd rather pee roadside."

AHH!

um...those are actually cleaner than toilet seats by far, and you have to take some getting used to them to "appreciate" them.
