Chm2046l

I'm going through CHM2046 L in the summer and I'm discovering that my lab skills aren't great.
To help myself out I'm also working in a lab outside of Chem lab in hopes of upping my coordination and planning abilities.
We had the first unknown today and, well, it didn't go quite as planned (despite a very meticulous scheme crafted by me...I went through 3-5 other schemes and created this one). Thankfully I did get through all of the tests. However, I missed a few details and filled the card out incorrectly (this being my one flaw in the scheme...not including how to properly fill out the card :/). I think I was so mentally exhausted after working under a time limit that I disregarded these things.
Any tips on how I can improve? I really tried everything...setting up things beforehand (dilutions etc..I didn't dilute everything though, lol), labeling things with masking tape, etc.
Basically, tips for working under pressure/personal experiences/stories?
Thanks!

I plan on taking CHM 2046 in the fall!

How rigorous is the class?

I’m only in the lab, but for me the lab is a challenge because I’m a clumsy person (I broke a crucible during my unknown today…) . However, I realize I have many labs to go in my future, and am taking it as a learning curve. Additionally, I work 16.5 hrs outside of the chem lab (which is twice a week for 2 and a half hrs).
CHM2046 isn’t bad, I hear, depending on the prof though.
