How often do people go to Downtown Wallingford?Do they usually walk, take a cab, etc.?? Also, how often are there school trips out of town?

ALso, I know it is way too early to be worrying about this, but is there somewhere where you can store your stuff over summer? Like, if you buy a fan, or anything that is too big and bulky to pack and take back home with you.

Does anyone know when we will be receiving the roommate questionare and picking what classes we want to take?

I figure it depends on the dorm, but are any unberable/really nice (for 9th grade girls). Thanks.

abc - we go to downtown wallingford every weekend. some people walk, some people take cabs. there is summer storage, but you have to pay. lol, you won’t get the housing survey till late july… and you won’t choose your classes until late june i think.

weiqian - no dorms are unbearable

@GoldBlue: Not even the (infamous) Squire?

@GoldBlue- good to know, thanks I’m okay with small rooms/space and stuff, I’m just hoping there aren’t any bugs. Yikes!

@weiqian: Wait, bugs? What? When did that come up?

I hate bugs too and I have an irrational fear of them. Are any of the dorms known to have bugs? (for third form girls)

Squire isn’t bad at all, and no, there are no dorms known for having bugs.

O_O weiqian, where did you come up with the question? I’m curious; I wouldn’t have thought of any bug problems!

As long as you don’t have any open food items or containers in your room, you will not see any bugs.

Sorry… I’m terribly terribly terribly terribly afraid of bugs. The topic was brought up at one of the chats online. Just making sure! Good to know they’re aren’t any.

LOL, chats. Of course, right? They sound incredibly random! :)

I will be participating in the music program at Choate. I have read on the website about the stage facilities, but I’m still wondering where kids practice on their own. I mean like individual practice-- how many practice rooms are there? Also, does anyone know how much the private music lessons cost?

How many pianos are available?

I second the private lesson question. Music is my life. :)

I know that private trumpet lessons for 2011-2012 at Choate were $480 per trimester. ChoatieKid does not have time for music lessons this year.

Thanks ChoatieMom

Thanks; $1500 or so a year doesn’t seem bad at all! If you don’t mind answering, what is ChoatieKid doing that blocks music lessons?
