can you still get financial aid on the waitlist?

That’s what I’m wondering too 2010 hopeful. My entire decision to go to a BS will be based on the amount of FA after acceptance. :P

i saw a parent’s post from last year, saying that her child was waitlisted at first, but in July, he was accepted with 70% FA,
difficult, but certainly not impossible :)

same. Does anyone know how Choate’s wait list has gone in the past?>

By the looks of it (from the past two years of applications) I’m guessing Choate doesn’t accept kids who would require full FA. This would hint that anybody who was placed on the waitlist would need some sort of family contribution. It’s like being vice president, you need the qualifications for president in case you’re up…

However, your family contribution might be very small, even if you do need to contribute.

I wish you the best, though! Stay hopeful and it’ll all work out :)

Thanks, metallika & exoveerotch! That certainly makes me feel better. My family can contribute somewhere in the middle of a quarter to a half of boarder’s tuition, so hopefully we still have a chance for FA from the waitlist.

ewww. I seriously need like 90% FA. I really hope exeter accepts you Bunny so I move ahead on the waitlist haha

My son is in waitlist

my brother was accepted.
my boyfriend was on the waitlist (4 years ago) but he got in so dont lose hope

i got in!!!

Congrats!! Great job. :D

you better go to exeter, so it makes it easier for us waitlisted kids haha

yeah i think exeter is my first choice, but revisits could always change my mind. I doubt it though. i don’t really know if choate is for me… but its still amazing and im excited to revisit

Waitlisted at Choate, disappointed.

My daughter got accepted. After being wait listed for 4 other schools today…the mood in the house has completely changed.

Go to Choate One of us is Exeter waitlisted.
Congrats on your acceptances!!!
And being waitlisted is about ten times better than a rejection, trust me!
Another one of us was waitlisted at the university he/she happily attends now.

I was actually excited when it was a waitlist. After being quadruple rejected, anything is better than another rejection haha

Either’s fine for me, cutiedida, just go to one of 'em, cause I’m waitlisted at both! :P

Yeah, I was pretty excited at the waitlists, cause I knew it would be a slim chance with the amount of FA I needed.

Is it easy to get off the waitlist at Choate?

I don’t think anyone knows the real statistics but a few people have told stories of friends or family or whatever getting off of it.
