Hi:)
I'm having trouble decided which school to attend. I feel extremely lucky to have been accepted to these three great schools, and obviously you cant go wrong with either of them but I'm still undecided. Choate and Andover offered me a large amount FA and Deerfield hasn't offered me any as of yet. I will be playing varsity hockey at whichever school I go to, and therefore, athletics factor into my decision. Please give me the advantages/disadvantages to each school. Thank you!

I think someone on these threads posted that Andover is a sports powerhouse.

Hi zdoub99, all of those schools are great schools! Congrats on your addmission. Your probably pretty good at hockey so all of the schools would be appropriate for high level hockey! I would go with Choate they seem to be the perfect mix between high level academics and high level hockey!

I’m so envious that you have so many choices, congrats
Choate and Andover were my top choices and I was accepted at DA. All of them have amazing athletics, what it comes down to is what kind of environment you want. Andover is close to Boston, has a larger student body, and seems to be run more like a college (no sit down meals, casual dress)
- Choate has a nice town around it, as well as huge dorms and a nice hockey rink from what I saw.

Maybe look up each schools hockey records if that is a huge deciding factor for you? You can’t really go wrong I dont think, good luck choosing.

Congrats on DA, it’s an equally amazing school! Yea, based on rankings it’s easily Choate, they came in 5th. DA came in like 22 and Andover around 37th. However, it changes every year so rankings don’t really help :// but last year Choate won the large school championship, and did well this year too…

bump…10char

I think what you need to do is email the coach at each school and ask if they could introduce you to a couple of potential teammates at revisit day. You may get a better idea of what the kids are like when you speak to your direct peers, since each of these schools is rather different from each other. Also just see what the vibe is at each, dont rely on advice from a discussion board.

That’s a great idea… thank you :D

i heard deerfield has hot girls? :)
