Choices Day

Just got back this evening. Pretty big crowd! I think they said they are planning for an incoming freshman class of 3800, but I don't know how many admits that translates into, nor how many EA admits. Of course many students were accompanied by 2 parents (like ours was) so the large crowd may have been more parents than admitted students. We attended a very interesting session on the ISAT program (Integrated Science & Technology) and visited the very impressive recreation center. Overall the day reinforced our positive feelings about JMU but I don't think my son is sold.

Anybody else there today?

No, but I went last year. You saw 2 of the things that we did not look at. You cannot see everything during Choices Day. Did you get a taste of the campus school spirit? It is amazing. Sorry that your son is not sold, but I know that he has another nice option in Boston, which my son was not sold on. LOL, now my son could not imagine himself anywhere else other than at JMU. Did you have a chance to eat lunch there? The school is ranked around #7 nationally for food. Did you see a dorm room? I guess it was too cold to enjoy the campus outdoors. In the fall and spring, it is just so nice to walk around on campus.
