Hi everyone
I have applied to a couple of universities in canada but I am having difficulty choosing which one to go to. I have applied to Mcgill, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia and Waterloo ,all for engineering. All the cities are different and everyone tells me something different for each university. Im really confused ! I want to go to a good university and get work experience but i also want to be in a fun city.
Please help me.
Thanks a lot

what engineering are you considering? If your looking at software or ece. Waterloo’s coop is really good for people in those fields.

In terms of cities i go to uoft for eng and i love toronto, the nightlife is pretty sick. However i like montreal better. Waterloo is not really a “city” personally i found it wasnt for me. And i cant comment on UBC.

You will be able to attain work experience at any one of these universities however waterloo is known specifically for their coop program. Uoft has a one year internship program and i believe mcgill has something similar.

uoft and UW are not known for their social scenes (at least in first year). However in engineering its a bit of a cult lol…so you’ll have a good time

I lived in vancouver for a few years, so I can sort of describe what UBC will be like. It is by far one of the best places you can ever hope to live in. It’s very diverse, with a lot of things you can do, and nice weather. The city is beautiful, and I’m sure you’ll have a great time if you decide to go there.

i got into UBC with scholarship!
And I to wish to know how good is it? I got into their arts and sciences college and i wish to do economics. Is it goos for undergrad economics course. I also got into american universities like Indiana Bloomington, Purdue, Loyola Marymount University, Miami University! I dont know if I should choose UBC! If it is good reputation for undergrad Eco. program than I might decide to go their! But my orverall research till has helped me figue out that it is a great university with great international rankings and great social scene!
thank you!
