Choosing a Laptop

Hi there fellow tigers~
So I'm (almost) officially a Clemson Student, Just have to attend an orientation and apply for housing...
Anyway I'm majoring in Animal and Vet Sciences and when I looked at the Laptop Guide, My major wasn't on it!
I'm planning to buy a computer from the university because of the 4 year care service.
So, does anyone have any advice on which laptop would be the best? Thank you!

Next year’s laptop recommendations won’t be posted till May-ish so I would wait around till then to pick a laptop for next academic year.

So what if the laptops purchased from the university don’t have anywhere near the technical capabilities I am looking for in my laptop? Is there a way to still get the four year care service?

If you want a computer that exceeds the technical specs of the recommended laptops, that is completely fine. I don’t have a recommended laptop. It’s what you are comfortable with and the recommended laptops are just there as a minimum specs requirement.

I’m not sure if you can get the four year care service. CCIT will still attempt to fix your laptop if it is not a recommended one but I’d probably get some sort of warranty with your laptop. (just my opinion)
