Choosing between semi-equivalent ACT and SAT scores?

Hi! Sorry, this is a really nitty-gritty detail, but I got a 25 ACT and a 1210 SAT (i know they are concerning scores so please please please do not comment on them). A 25 ACT is equivalent to a 1200-1240 SAT, so they are equivalent. For some applications due on the 15th, should I submit the ACT because it is also equivalent to a higher sat score? or does it look even worse to have a 25 ACT?
I’m really bad with testing and I’m taking them again, but for now, I was wondering what to do
Thank you!!

Either or both, your choice. Both of those are fine scores, 79th percentile.

haha sounds good, thank you!!

You may want to look at the section breakdowns of the two tests. For example if you want to major in science and the ACT has a low science section you may want to go with the SAT or something along those lines. Other than that according to the 2018 concordance tables it looks like a 25 ACT equates to a 1200-1220 SAT so it really seems to be six of one or half dozen of the other. https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/guide-2018-act-sat-concordance.pdf

@rtc31293 haha thanks! appreciate your opinion

@happy1 That’s an interesting way to distinguish it! Thank you so much for the tip and link! haha yeah, unfortunately, its exactly the same equivalence :frowning: I was wondering if 25 didn’t look as dramatic as 1210, but I guess that’s not how it really works

What are the breakdowns for each. The sub scores could be important. Some schools also favor the English/Math of the ACT over the Reading/Science.

@Dolemite thanks for the tip!! yeah English and math were my better sections for act, so might as well not make it worse by showing the lower (than my average) science and reading
