Should we be having some sort of idea of what classes we would like to sign up for at our upcoming orientation? If so how do we find the courses and info about each one?

Dear BCEagle8 : It will help if you have some ideas on what you will want to take however all of this scheduling work is done as part of your orientation session. You do not need to have done that work ahead of time, but having information about your AP courses and such will help.

Normally BC sends out an “Academic Planning Workbook” to all incoming freshmen in late May. It has lots of good info about satisfying the core requirements, what classes you can waive based on AP credits, and also gives recommendations for what courses to take freshman year in you’re interested in certain majors. The workbook is just background material to help prepare you for your orientation session, because as scottj indicated, that’s when you’ll be meeting with an advisor and doing your actual class registration.
