Choosing the right college for me

There was a time when almost all students who went OOS for school attended sight unseen. It seems to be a recent compulsion to visit a school first.

Thanks - that’s a big chunk to read, so I’ll respond to it in a bit.

While I can’t afford to visit schools there, I have been seeking out overnight visits and diversity weekends for schools on the East Coast, such as CMU. I’m still trying to go visit there, despite the difficulty in doing so. Even so, just because I can’t visit the school in person doesn’t mean I don’t want to go there - otherwise, I’d be limited to local schools.

Thanks. I’ll look into those as well.

sorry! that WAS one long run on paragraph.
the important parts were-
don’t miss any scholarship deadlines or requirements to be eligible to win a scholarship- at USC you must interview if offered the opportunity to do so.
apply EA to as many colleges as you can-
if you are rejected by them in Dec, then you may have to add some colleges to your list

Some Schools to Look At:
John Hopkins, Northeastern University, Boston College, NYU, Fordham, Georgetown, George Washington

hello, informative, you just can’t cut an paste a list of colleges to every inquiry. each student is unique, you just can’t shoe horn NYU to one that has 3.0 gpa or 4.0 gpa.

OP, I think you have a good list of schools already. I have not seen some one suggested coopers union, the school is good for cs and it has free tuition. The living cost is pretty high in NYC, but I think you can get by if you learn how.
