I am going to be a senior this year and I'm really stressing about picking the right colleges to apply to. I have this idea of a perfect college in my head.

The college HAS TO HAVE NURSING and that is the only thing that must be fulfilled. I would really prefer a Christian or Catholic college/university.

My idea of a perfect college setting is hilly with a bunch of trees. But I'm not loving the idea of it being "middle of nowhere." My two fears are having nothing to do and being in an ugly neighborhood. I love the old and traditional style looking schools and I hate the modern looking ones. I want to be near a city or urban area but not IN the city. I love the looks and campuses of rural schools but I wish they were closer to urban areas to have things to do and not feel like the total middle of nowhere. I am not a huge party person.
For example I like Wagner College because of the trees and pretty buildings and it is near NYC. Then I dislike University of Scranton and Wilkes University because of their location. Wilkes University is in an ugly neighborhood and Scranton just wasn't a comfortable environment for me. I hate the run-down ugly look of housing neighborhoods near certain colleges.

I realize I am too picky in making my list and I will have to compromise.
I could elaborate more but I know how confusing my preferences are hahaha and I'm not expecting to find a "perfect college" to match my personality.

Oh and I'm thinking (so far) of applying to:
UNC greensboro
UNC chapel hill
UVA
U Pitt
Duquesne
Wagner

I know these are all Christian/Catholic colleges but I'm hoping to expand my knowledge of Christian schools out there that have nursing.

-Belmont University (Southern, but in Nashville, TN. Also very close to Vanderbilt)
-Lipscomb (also in the South, but to be fair, Tennessee is only one state east of North Carolina)
-Catholic University of America
-Messiah College (suburb of Harrisburg, PA. Not sure if that’s too small for you or if you don’t consider that part of the mid-Atlantic)
-Seton Hall University (not as Catholic as CUA)

UPitt, UVA and the UNC’s are state schools, not affiliated with any religion. Wagner started as a Lutheran school, but is not what anyone would call a Christian college now. You really need to do better research.

If Wagner still offers the BSN, that’s a good college in a great location! (Lutheran)

LaRoche in PA is not far from Pittsburgh and the campus is very pretty. (Catholic)

Eastern University in PA in another good choice. Also very pretty.

Messiah College in PA also has a good nursing program and is highly rated in both Christian and non Christian circles.
(Eastern and Messiah are non denominational Evangelical Protestant)

Calvin College is located in Grand Rapids, MI. The campus is close to (about 15 minutes away from) downtown Grand Rapids as well as has a nature preserve on campus.

I think it might be a school you would be interested in even though it’s in the mid-west. Check out the website: [Calvin College - Minds In The Making](http://www.calvin.edu/)
