I know of Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, but other than that, what are the Christian colleges/University with programs in American Sign Language? It doesn't have to be offered as a major or minor--I'm just looking to learn the language.

Check out Geneva College in Western Pennsylvania…they have ASL and ESL classes, if you’re interested in that. And they’re part of the CCCU.

Geneva is a solid Christian school on the rise. Its major downside has been a rather ho hum campus that is being improved each year … and being in Beaver Falls, PA. Never was a garden spot and as a dying, no dead steel town, today its main street is more than bleak. Some really fine, devoted profs and staff though.

And as noted, they are an institution committed to Christian networks and brotherhood. Its growth and development is pretty much a function of being one of the lone rangers left in a region once flush with genuinely Christian colleges. GCC is about the only other in the region and its pricing drives large applicant pool and regular waiting list at a time when they are trying to become more “national” and less local. Interestingly, GCC is not a member of the CCCU. Go figure.

Thank you for your insight!
