CHSPE and State colleges

Let me try to make this as brief as possible.

Basically I screwed up my freshman year, caught up my sophomore year, did alright my junior year, and am doing well my senior year.

I still need to finish geometry (both semesters) and to top it all off, some of my high school classes are not "credited" because I did my sophomore year and made up my freshman year in an "uncredited school" (a school which is not on the "list" of "credited schools" which was only around for a year.

Anyway, back to my question.

My counselor basically told me that it's a gamble. I never "actually" did labs for biology since it was all on the computer and if the colleges do a thorough enough search they will find that the majority of my classes are "uncredited."

I've been doing some research and I've read that some colleges accept the California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE).

Do colleges check thoroughly? Should I take the CHSPE and apply? Should I just go to a junior college?

Personally, I'd love to get out of high school already. While I do love some people, the majority of it is rather annoying due to all of the people who have to be there.

For example, Cal State Fullerton says
"have graduated from high school, have earned a Certificate of General Education Development (GED), or have passed the California High School Proficiency Examination;"
Thanks.
