<p>I still don't think of Cingular as the same as AT&T. I have AT&T and my dad has Cingular and even after the merge I still get better service.</p>
<p>from what i've seen w/ my phone and friends, cingular and verizon work the same. the only problem, with all cell phones, is that you wont get reception in most of the older stone buildings unless you're by a window.</p>
<p>well, i live about 10 mins off campus (mail says Princeton Junction), and from where I am, I have tmobile, and it is usually decent, 2-3 bars, but verizon gets service EVERYWHERE (4-5 bars usually). not sure how they stack up in the stone buildings, i just know that tmobile doesnt get great service in em unless you're close to an outer wall. among the locals (not sure whether that matters) verizon is overwhelmingly the most popular, followed by tmobile.</p>
