Does the academy inform applicants of appointment information through CIS, or do they send it through postal mail? I found out about my nominations through mail, but they also are on CIS, so I don't know which they do for appointments.

If it is like last year, the appoinment info was mailed--I don't remember ever seeing any appointment info posted on CIS.

My son's appointment also came in the mail. You would never know he had one by looking at the CIS.

i received an appointment over 2 months ago and my cis page has not changed at all. however, i did find out about my appointment through the senator and representative who nominated me (by phone).

Candidate Information System (CIS) will NOT indicate appointment status. The Naval Academy Information System (BGIS or AIS) available to Blue and Gold Officers will indicate status.

I never got a package, my ENTIRE app was through the CIS

Yeah the application was through CIS, but a lot of other schools have applications online, but inform applicants of decisions through mail.
