I hope I can get some advice regarding California residency status for UCs to get in state tuition.
Just some background - I was born in CA and lived in CA my whole life but moved to MA right before my junior year and will be graduating from a NE boarding school. My dad still lives in CA and mom lives in MA. We have a home in both states. My dad files taxes in CA and my mom files in both states.
I saw on the UC website that you can obtain CA residency if you show that you are still connected and intend to to return and live there.
Does anyone know how you can actually show that?
For example, my bank account is from a CA bank, and my drivers license is from CA. I fully intend to return.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
