Clairmont Tower Apartment Housing - General Thoughts?

Hey, guys.
I've just been assigned housing at Clairmont tower and I was wondering if anybody ever lived there?
If so, can you provide your general experiences and thoughts on the housing?
Thanks for your time.

Yea, as long as you don’t have an 8:30 AM class, it’s the best place to be. Not even close.

It takes like 15 minutes to get to campus from here. But it’s worth it.

I was in the Tower last year, and the rooms are fine for the most part and the Clairmont campus does have some nice facilities. The major downside is that it’s not on main campus like the other sophomore housing (although the Tower also houses juniors and seniors), but there are shuttles which come frequently during the day and take 5-10 min to get from Clairmont to main campus. it’s at night and on weekends when waiting for the shuttle can really be a pain so having a car will be useful . And the elevators can be a bit of a hassle, especially if you’re in the upper floors. Also unlike in the URC or CRC (the other two apartment complexes on Clairmont) you do have to share a room with someone in the Tower and it’s one bathroom per bedroom, but the URC and CRC are only open to juniors and seniors. but as a incoming transfer student, this is probably the best on campus housing you can get your first year here in terms of nice rooms and amenities. Like in any of the suite or apartment based dorms here, students will rarely hang out with others on their floor, and mostly stick to their suitemates. If you want more freqent interaction with others on your floor, the only two dorms where that’ll happen are Complex and Alabama.

Hmmm, too bad I can’t change housing. I would have to write a petition in order for that to be possible. I’m going to dorm with three more guys, which I don’t mind but it would definitely be more desirable to live on campus, at least in my opinion anyways.
