Clark Scholars 2013?

According to past year’s threads, it happened almost around the same days. One person would report getting the call, the other threads would say “got rejected email” today/yesterday. Therefore, it’s better not to receive email notification in the first place.

@yetanotherid how recent is that email from Ms. Durham?

@chinkadink I got that on March 26th

@yetanotherid Thanks

I haven’t received an email saying I was rejected or in the top 36. Is this the same for most people or am I missing something here?

No I haven’t gotten anything either. What about the rest of you?

No one has gotten anything yet. This thread will explode when people do.

It’s all quiet and peaceful now!

History:

2009:
4/18 - Semifinalists notified by email

2010:
4/12 - 1st rejection by email
4/21 - 1st acceptance notification by a phone call

2011:
4/13 - 1st rejection by email
4/28 - 1st email acceptance notification. No phone call received

2012:
4/5 - 1st rejection by email
4/16 - 1st notification by a phone call to semifinalist ( top 36)

Hope this helps …

@3chainz “I think they are doing all the acceptances then the rejections, so if you haven’t heard back, you are probably screwed.”
What did the above statement suppose to mean, uh? I don’t even feel like congratulating you. NO, nobody is screwed!

3chainz, so which category did you apply for ?

Has anyone else received a phone call yet? I really hope 3chainz is trolling… :(

Former Clarkie here. I didn’t get my acceptance until May 7 my year. So be patient!

Is he trolling? o.o

Probably. The “so if you haven’t heard back, you are probably screwed” tips it off. Plus, no one else has heard anything, so it’s a safe bet that 3chainz is a ■■■■■.

One would think that biological sciences is the most competitive.

absolutely agree, that didn’t sound right at all!

me thinks we gots a ■■■■■. he/she listed the least listed concentrations, and then says he got placed in the most listed. additionally, they don’t place you in a completely different field.

Not sure if this used to be there, but I don’t remember seeing it. On the website now, it says that final selection will be made “late April, early May”

@sardonyx827 - yes, I think that was updated April 8th . See at the bottom of the page “Last Updated” . And for someone who is into science Olympiads ( trolling 3chainz) listing Theater Arts, History and English as a preference is just not believable …
