Class of '10 represent!

For5aken: yea isn't that just weird. oh well, haha, if that's how it turns out then so be it. i'll accept it as a challanege. haha

USC seems to that for a lot of competative programs, like CNTV for instance. I talked to a kid in that situation (for CNTV) and he said something to the effect that it was so USC could fill up their Spring admits. But I'm not 100% positive on that.

My son is finally sending in the deposit today! So glad that the decision is over with! He is from northwest Indiana and will be studying computer science.

awesome:) i just decided today that i'll be going to USC (annenberg)..i'm sending in the card and stuff later this week:)

I'm still waiting for my parents to approve... I'm dead set on going to USC.. but they're still kinda complaining about the price!! .. Hopefully I'll win :-d!

good luck :) i hope you win.

i'm rooting for you! my dad has been really mean throughout the process, and even called usc-cntv yesterday to withdraw my application to screenwriting.

what he didn't know is that they recieved my intent to regester and the $300 check!

good. snuck the money through the back door '=)
why's your father so angry about usc-cntv? isn't it one of the best schools for that field?

Zelda,
You'd better chat with your dad so that you're on the same page, especially if you want him & mom to help pay the bills. It's best for the student & school if parents, student & school are all working together as one team instead of having mixed messages back & forth. Clearing the air sooner rather than later is a good idea--trust me on this!

absolutely true:)

haha thx guys!
Zelda- one of my friends did that (for another school) :-).... I would have... but like HImom said, I'm gonna need my parents' help in paying the bills.

Also, like kkgirl said, USC-CNTV is amazing.. I certainly hope ur dad understands your interests and allows you to go there (well i guess he kinda has to now :-p)

well, my mom and i sent the deposit together...my dad doesn't care that its the best school for film; he hates film all together. now he's ranting about the usc quarterback being arrested for rape and says that school is "unsafe" with 24 assaults last year. (he claims the school he wants me to go to had "nothing bad happen"; i checked the stats, and they had 11 rapes and 654 alcohol related abuse things. hm)

Hey all, I just sent in my card today! It was a really hard decision, between USC Spring and some other great places, but I finally decided now that I know what I'm going to do in the fall- I'm going to Switzerland! I'm going to an American college there in the fall to take classes and travel around Europe! I'm SO excited, getting a spring acceptance was like a blessing in disguise. =)

So I'll be keeping tabs on trojan football from across the ocean, and look for me come January! Fight on!
-Laura

yaaaaay. awesome. another spring admit :) which school @ usc are you going to?
have fun in switzerland!

clas with maybe a minor in marshall, what about you?

annenberg with a major in print journalism..and i'm definitely gonna double major..maybe in business..

lonefreckle,
just curious, but when you sent in the spring admit card, you didn't pay any $$$ yet, right? all i know is that we're supposed to check off the box for spring enrollment (or for a space in the fall class and spring enrollment)

i didn't send any money- it didn't look like i needed too. I think we're going to recieve all the important info in the summer and send in $ then.

BTW, where are you from?

i didn't think so. thank you for reassuring me...

i'm from northern cali (the bay area)..where are you from?

boston, ma
