Class of '14: Anyone not that interested in football?

Hi,

I was recently admitted to PSU, and I was wondering how many of you out there aren't going to Penn State because of it's football reputation. I'm much more into music and theater than football. Of course, I would go to the games, but I certainly wouldn't be overly interested in the score!

Thanks!

Hey did u get into UP’s MT program?

I didn’t apply for the program, but I will certainly do extracurricular theater, wherever possible, as well as a cappella!

I’m going there because of it’s Engineering program.

I guess I’m asking more “who will not really care about football?”

Alot of people end up liking football after going to PSU, but regardless, I’m hoping to audition for an jazz ensemble or the Blue Band.

I like football, music, theatre, and hopefully my engineering courses. :)

Haha, yeah. My sister’s a Sophomore there now, and I went to a game. It was fun and all, but the “WE ARE…” got a bit tiring after a while. I guess I’m just not so gung ho about it. =P

I’m kinda undecided about where I’d like to focus my studies - I was accepted to Arts and Sciences, but I think I’d most like to merge that with Engineering. Biomedical Engineering, maybe? I’m interested in a lot of stuff, so narrowing that down may be a challenge. First, I have to decide on a school!

My son doesn’t really care about football…but he LOVES being in the marching band. So “band” and “football” kinda go hand-in-hand! PSU is his top choice because it has one of the top programs in his major and it has an awesome band.

Thanks! I guess I’m just scared of being stuck somewhere where no matter who I’m matched with, my roommate will rather watch ESPN and than play music.

bah football. methinks its overated. sorrydudes, not really for me. Then again, I’m most likely not attending PSU ;D Although I was interested merely because of their strong business program/alumni network.
