Class of '19 Roll Call...who's applied and who's been accepted

I’ve had my acceptance letter since Thursday, but my scholarship letter came today. I’m so excited!

BTW…those who will get eng’g scholarships…those awards often do not come until Nov or later. They seem to d them in batches.

Son was admitted on 9/2, got two letters today: admission from Admissions Office, offer of Presidential Scholarship from President. Re scholarship, it’s my understanding that scholarships offered now will be automatically updated if student gets awarded NMSF or NMF.

@mom2collegekids Glad you mentioned the engineering scholarships. That isn’t reflected in the letter my DS received.

Is everyone positive that the enrollment deposit isn’t binding? Because the common app agreement states that a student may only submit a deposit to one school or else risks being rejected from every school… I’m really worried.

I’m under the impression that if I am accepted to one of my other schools, I can cancel the Bama one, but I still lose my $200

Double depositing has to do with post May 1st.

CATDECAL, I just have to be nosy. When you say full ride do you mean full tuition? Or do you mean room & board too?

My son got the Presidential Scholarship! What a wonderful way to start his Senior year in high school!

In addition to National Merit, higher test scores up until UA’s cut-off (last year they accepted Dec test scores). So DD received in Sept scholarship letter and admission letter, letter assigning campus wide ID, letter from admissions reminding about the need for final HS official transcript, We got an Oct letter from Dr Karr about DD’s plans for enrolling in college of eng. Then we received two separate Jan scholarship letters (DD increased ACT in Dec to Presidential Level) - one about Presidential, and one showing increase in engineering. The letters provide info on various things, including stating the receipt of a scholarship summary letter in March. Since that time DD also received two smaller music awards (both had letters sent). I put all the letters in plastic binder sleeves and bought a houndstooth 3 ring binder at UA SupE store when on campus. Keeping DD’s stuff organized in nice binder. Will also receive some nice certificates at HS graduation if you commit to UA.

@Tam1233‌ he likely means full tuition. Bama has few near-full rides outside of NMF, and none have been yet awarded.

@tam1233, Mom2CollegeKids is correct. Full OOS Tuition. Sorry for the confusion.

Congrats to those accepted! Do you guys know approximately how many days after all your application materials were in that you got your admissions decision? ( I got everything in on September 9 )
