11th grade...omg...supposed to be the hardest year, especially if you're in the IB program. Signed up for 8 full classes, 1 night class, and 1 class at a local college. So..10 total. Crap. 7 are core. Crap. Crap.

What are your thoughts for next year? Anyone scared? :p

This is my hardest year. I cannot wait till this year is over. But next year will be hard too with SATs and APs and blah. :( AP US History will kill you. Soo many sleepless nights this year..the amount of suffering in that class is SO not worth it. The best history person in my grade recommends to anyone not to take it cuz it's simply not worth all of that time..and effort.. Argh.

people, when i was junior, it was hell like you guys just explained. I tooked a community college class as well as 4 AP's. sarorah, actually, i thought AP chem was the hardest. I swear it was another math class. sorry to hear dat sourapplezz, i tihnk you are going a little extreme.

Good luck guys! I am so relieved that junior year is almost over for me. All the work and cram weeks. Ugh. Just manage your time well and you will do great!

oh boy are we behind?
We're doing roaring 20s. But my teacher promises to finish up to the civil rights movement before the test.
I'm a junior but at first your APs are a little tough. I struggled in AP US getting a B during the first quarter, but now it's an easy A. You just have to read and understand. Anyways, loosen up a little. I had 3 APs (to show proof AP CAL BC, AP CHEM, AP USH, AP mac/mic(self-study)) but it wasn't like killer. I enjoyed all the APs so it wasn't much work. Don't be that intimidated, it's a continum of school.

I'm taking AP U.S. History II, AP Language & Composition, AP Spanish V, and AP Biology, along with Trigonometry, gym/health (mandatory), Psychology, and a study hall...

AP US history has been a great class for me this year (sophomore year); I've learned a lot about writing, taking good notes, and time management, plus all the history of course :-) My class is on the early 1960s right now. Eeeeps, that test feels like it's so soon, even if it's a month away!

Anyway, I'm freaked out for junior year too! I'm taking two APs, Calc AB and Euro history, plus two more college classes- an American lit class and an ethics/philosophy class. But the class I'm really dreading is honors spanish 3 because i'm so unmotivated in that subject and I've had such a slacker teacher this year, which hasn't helped. I think I'm going to get to that class and be like, wait...you actually expect me to know things? and then run. ah yes, I can see it now:)

Are you guys taking an SAT IIs this year or are you planning to do them all next year/senior year? I think I'm going to take US History this year, just to get it out of the way. The SATs/ACTs are a part of junior year I'm not looking forward to!

Hardest classes, most papers, SATs, bringing apps into the picture, pressure from parents, schools and friends start to see each other as competition for acceptance to same schools. It is hard but it is over fast.

I'm looking forward to the IB because I've finally 'filtered out' some of the classes that I have no interest in taking. (At my school, you start with an insane number of classes in 9th grade and narrow it down a little each year.) I love the classes I'm taking, and I'm actually exhilarated by the challenge. And TOK seems awesome.

But on then on the other hand, I'm like, WHAT AM I DOING?!?! I'm taking Math HL (reportedly the hardest HL) and Chem HL (the most work-intensive) even though I always do better in humanities. Add to that the Extended Essay and pre-college stress, and I'll be surprised if I'm still alive past January.
