Does anyone know how many people applied this year or when they'll release the number of students who were admitted and those who accepted? Or any estimates as of yet from those working in admissions?

I'm just curious because I know that this upcoming year especially they cannot afford to guess that yield rate wrong, like my year (c/o 2008) and 2009.

Sometimes Ted Spencer will say a little something for the newspaper, but generally any reports aren't released until fall enrollment numbers are official--three weeks into the term, in September.

well, MatthewM04, with some CC'ers getting off the waitlist, it seems doubtful to me they overenrolled (they're coming back for more). It seems we've wisened up a bit.

I'm guessing what they did this year was since they overenrolled two years in a row, they're being extra cautious and putting more people on the waitlist so they don't screw up three years in a row and have another housing issue.

Quite the observant one, dilksy. It's ok, you're new to the boards, so i'll let that one go. But no more stating the obvious, man. I know Conrad wouldn't approve of that.

Conrad also wouldn't approve of your ignorance of topology, linear algebra, and abstract algebra. And there were lots of days where he'd say that everything we did was just an extended triviality (which is real great to hear after you've been lost for 45 minutes...). And he ended ugodly amounts of proofs with "but I claim that this is obvious", even when it was very not.

If everybody knows, then why is everybody still complaining/going on about it? Then again, I suppose these are the kids that yearly ask "ok,1450sat6apsamIin!!!?"
