Dear TheOneCurlyFry,
Thank you for your inquiry. Vassar has mailed out all of its decision
letters via US mail as of yesterday. We do not offer decisions by
telephone, email or on-line. We apologize for inconvenience.

[] Other stats: National Merit Commended, National Outstanding in the High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling, Presidential Scholar candidate
[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: Spent an infinite amount of time on these babies. For my Why Vassar? short answer, I spoke endlessly of the flexibility and exploration that is cultivated at the college and my need for that sort of learning environment, especially in my pursuit of Art, History, English, and Film. I wrote about my open heart surgery for my essay (don't worry, it wasn't a pity card) and how my physical disability ultimately led me to find inspiration in art and writing.
[] Teacher Recs: Very strong. One by my art teacher, and the other by my English teacher. There was no escape of highlighting my passions.
[] Counselor Rec: Incredibly detailed, if anything.
[] Interview: Went horribly. Stuttered and blathered an incoherent response to some great question about today's generation. Eek.
[] Hook (if any): Heart surgery, I suppose
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Hong Kong
[] School Type: Private International
[] Ethnicity: Asian American
[] Gender: Male
[] Legacy: N/A
[] Recruited Athlete & Sport: N/A
[] Other Factors: I also submitted a portfolio of my writing and art. I'd like to think that it helped my application along.

Thank you! I got the decision by email, an hour ago.

That's great. I didn't get anything, does that mean I'm rejected?

CurlyFry, I'm confused: U.S. decisions were snail mailed yesterday (Monday) and internationals e-mailed?

I think so, LurkNess, although they told me no decisions were emailed, they must've thought I was domestic, even though I said international.

Thank you! ^^^

Best of luck to everyone!
