Accepted (came via e-mail)

waitlisted-- however I'm not too concerned. I've been accepted to Wesleyan, Barnard, Northwestern, UC Berkeley, UCSB, Bard, and Bates. I don't think it's necessary to remain on the waitlist, as Amherst is not near the top of my list.

So I'm guessing if we live on the west coast and we didn't get any letter at all that means we're waitlisted. GREAT.

^ ?? Why do you say that?

Skaka, would you mind posting your stats? (Just out of curiosity, I'm applying to a few of those schools next year)

I don't know if it's accurate, Kristina, but from what I've read around here the west coast people already got rejections or acceptances.

Oh. Sigh.

No, I don't think that is true. I haven't gotten anything and neither have a lot of West Coast people. I bet we'll get them tomorrow.

Yeah, I am from Colorado, and still haven't received anything. I'm still waiting on Bowdoin and Williams too. They should be here Monday. Hopefully.....

Lol.. I'm from Colorado too!!!! O.O Wow.. another person from Colorado ahaha :D Best of luck tomorrow!!~ I kinda wish I lived closer and also that the post office was open today >.>"

Good luck to you too! It is weird finding somebody else from Colorado! Living closer would definitely be nicer.... I'm more worried about Bowdoin's decision than Amherst's. Although an acceptance to both would be nice!

7 hours until I get home today...so scared ><

intl from nepal.. waitlisted.. havent lost hope though

utsavdhoj, I too have been waitlisted. I, however, don't think I have a chance any longer. Too many students with excellent stats and essays have been waitlisted. And they won't accept any additional materials that I send now.:(

Waitlisted.

Everything happens for a reason, no?

Are the acceptance letters in a big envelope?

I'm holding my friends mail while she is gone and she made me swear not to open it. I have her small envelope amherst letter and trying to read it without opening it all I got was "Dear Susie Smith," and there was a reply envelope inside. That means its either acceptance or waitlist, right? She's already been waitlisted everywhere except one school (her safety) so another waitlist from her DREAM school would SUCK!

Acceptances are big envelopes, and rejections don't have envelopes, so yeah, that's a waitlist

Wait, rejections don't have envelopes? They just send you a little postcard saying "Wish you were here! Not really, that's why we REJECTED YOU! HAHAHA!"

If I got a postcard like that I would both cry and laugh at the same time.

I was waitlisted-- so it came in a small envelope. When my mom got the mail, she said she could tell there was more than one sheet in there (it was actually 2 sheets plus a postcard). So try to see if you can tell. There's no reason a rejection would have more than one sheet.

Waitlisted
